Jackie Paige

By a raise of hands, how many of us actually LIKE to workout? Raise em’ reeeaaaal high so I can see you in the back LOL… The overwhelming answer to this question is an unwavering NOT MANY. This is a no judgement zone, so, no worries ladies.
In the year 2019 where “health is wealth” more people are trying to drink more water and live healthier and more fit lifestyles. Cut to our girl, Jackie Page!
Does that name ring a bell? If you live in RVA it most certainly should! As a voice on iPower 92 Richmond, Jackie continues to amaze all of us by taking the fitness scene by storm.
After exchanging sweet pleasantries, we got down to business with the first question being basic yet essential....Why? What made you kickstart this health journey into high gear?
With possibly the sweetest disposition ever, Jackie responded “… I’m simply inspired by helping others see their beauty, tenacity and fierce spirit within.”
Jackie provided the short and sweet of her journey to better living, beginning with a 2013 happenstance.
Jackie had entered a Zumba Fitness Challenge. And while she did not win the competition, her body had already started the transformation into GOALSS!
With a newfound empowerment and motivation to get fit she entered a second challenge where she was strongly encouraged to become a Zumba Fitness instructor.
Now, years later Jackie is teaching women of all shapes and sizes, 5-6 days a week about fitness, health and wellness. All while maintaining her career as a media maven!
Choosing a piece of fruit over a bag of chips, increasing your water intake, simply adhering to the signs your body gives you and resting. Those were all small gems she dropped that may make all the difference when it comes to bringing a healthier lifestyle into fruition.
Nutrition information has not traditionally been a passed down from generation to generation. It begins with us. We have an obligation and an opportunity to make sure we set the stage for those coming after us. It is never to late to encourage those that came before us to try and make small modifications.
Jackie left us with some great tips, which you can check out below. They are small changes you can make in your daily routine to live a healthier and longer life.
